What is a Team?

  • A group of people that come to work together on a project for one week

 

What kinds of teams are needed?

  • Construction teams (welders, electricians, roofers, painters, mechanics)

  • Special needs professionals (occupational, physical, and speech therapists)

  • Women's Ministry (seamstresses, artists, crafty people)

 

How much does it cost?

  • $600 per person for one week

 

What does this fee include?

  • 3 typical meals per day

  • Unlimited water

  • Lodging in a dorm on the ministry property

  • In country transportation

 

Does the fee include air travel?

  • No, flights will be arranged by individuals or by the team captain. All team members should fly together on the same airline and on the same date to Tegucigalpa (TGU).

 

Are there other fees?

  • Yes, if the team will be completing a construction project, we will supply a material list and fees and ask for this to be donated in advance of arrival so that we can have materials on site in a timely manner.

 

Are there forms to complete or other items to obtain?

  • Yes, all team members must complete a team application.

  • If the team will be working with children, we require a criminal background check.

  • Very economical emergency evacuation insurance is required and should be purchased by the team leader.

Intern/Long Term Volunteer Q&A

What is an intern/long term volunteer?

  • An individual that is completing a degree program or who would like to serve for up to 4-weeks.

 

What kinds of interns/long term volunteers are needed?

  • Construction teams (welders, electricians, roofers, painters, mechanics)

  • Special needs professionals (occupational, physical, and speech therapists)

  • Women's Ministry (seamstresses, artists, crafty people)

 

How much does it cost?

  • Rates will vary depending on the project and length of stay.

 

What does this fee include?

  • 3 typical meals per day

  • Unlimited water

  • Lodging in a dorm on the ministry property or mission house

  • In country transportation

  • Shopping trips once each week to the grocery and one tourist shopping trip

 

Does the fee include air travel?

  • No, flights will be arranged by the individual.

  • Yes, if the intern/long term volunteer will be completing a project, we will supply a material list and ask for the funds to be donated in advance of arrival so that we can have materials on site in a timely manner.
